BBC Friday 2 May 2014 – Sneak Preview Of This Month’s OfficeXpats Tues@Noon “Alternative Publishing” Workshops

Come join BBC this Friday for a sneak peek at OfficeXpats May workshops: “Self/Alternative Publishing for Revenue and Building Your Business.”

Now more than ever, it’s within anyone’s reach to write, produce, and publish a book, and it turns out to be a great way to build your business and your credibility as an independent professional. You may already have the content for an inexpensive or free book, and it just needs some strategic re-packaging.

With self-publishing (also called “alternative” or “independent” publishing),the author is responsible for the entire process, including design (cover and interior), formats, price, distribution, marketing and PR. Authors can do it all themselves or outsource all or part of the process. In this workshop series, we explore how small businesses can navigate some of the choices and issues. Workshop Presenters: Trudy Catterfeld (linkedin.com/in/trudycatterfeld), Annette Walker (astonishinc.com), Sheila Cowley (linkedin.com/pub/sheila-cowley/28/b42/706), Jennifer Hager (edsguild.org/users/jennifer-hager), and Dave Kragen (kavedragenink.com).

There will also be time for your input, suggestions, ideas for the workshops — for which, in advance, Dave Kragen says “Thank you!”

Be there, be free, be businesswise. For, in a sense, as serial entrepreneurs, we’re all businesswise!

So, invite your friends and associates to come join us for this exciting non-virtual non-cloud event in real time and real space … and another delicious cup of BBC!
