This week’s special guest speaker, Stuart Walton, will talk about his work with the group Washington C.A.S.H., The Washington Community Alliance For Self-Help. Washington C.A.S.H. “empowers aspiring entrepreneurs with limited resources—and unlimited potential. We provide the hands-on education, support, and access to capital needed to launch and manage successful small enterprises in the Puget Sound region, focusing on low-income, women, and minority populations.”

Stuart Walton, Kitsap Business Development Specialist, “brings a wealth of entrepreneurial and management experience to Kitsap client entrepreneurs. He was the owner of West Sound Business Supply and its subsidiary Paper Products, Etc. in Kitsap County for over eighteen years. This retail and wholesale engineering and office supply firm served the four county Puget Sound basin, regularly supplying products and services to all types of businesses from out of their multiply store locations, plus shipping specialty products to many neighboring states. He is passionate about helping business owners thrive and become successful by sharing his experience, knowledge and expertise. Prior to owning his own business, Stuart was controller of the Maust Corporation in Seattle, Corporate Treasurer of Koniag, Inc., Alaska and Seattle, Operations Manager of Kodiak Island Seafoods, Inc., Seattle, and financial accountant at New England Fish Company in Seattle. Stuart also has an extensive teaching background, having taught Business Courses at Olympic College in Bremerton, WA, the Economic Development Council of Kitsap County, Gonzaga University in Spokane and Economics and Business for the University of Consumer Co-Operatives and Novosibirsk State University in Novosibirsk, Russia. Stuart holds two advanced degrees, one in business and one in legal studies, from Gonzaga University, Spokane, WA.
