BBC Friday 11 April 2014 – Ignite Bainbridge Test Run Time, w/ Guest Presenter Trish King

This BBC Friday we’re featuring Ignite Presentations Trial Run. Featured presenter will be Trish King, head of the Island School. We would like also to invite one or two others, whatever stage your Ignite Presentation is presently at, here’s a chance to test your ideas, pictures, timing.

Come support Trish King and Ignite Bainbridge this Friday.  Head of The Island School — a kindergarten through 5th grade independent school serving children on the Kitsap Peninsula since 1977 — Trish’s Ignite Bainbridge Presentation questions the value of standardized testing as a focus in American education.

Call For Presenters: It would also be fun if we had one or two others who’d like to do an Ignite Presentations test run. After each presentation, we’ll do a five+ minute feedback strategy roundtable. For the other two presentations, first come first serve, please contact Dave Kragen at [email protected] if you would like to join in. If we get lots of responses, maybe we’ll do this next week too. Ignite Contact: Linna Callaham, 206.842.1707, [email protected]. Ignite web:

Be there, be free, be Ignited.

So, invite your friends and associates to come join us for this exciting non-virtual non-cloud event in real time and real space … and another delicious cup of BBC!

Ignite Bainbridge Is Back @ OfficeXpats! 5 minutes, 20 slides, a big idea. Linna Callaham is leading the program this year, so don’t hesitate to contact her (please also sign up on the website to volunteer or consider being a speaker).  There are already more people submitting 5-minute talks than we can put on stage on May 6! That doesn’t mean everyone will follow through, however, so if you are considering offering up a short bit of inspiration to your community, get your idea for a talk submitted SOON, to Linna Callaham, 206.842.1707 and [email protected]. More info at
