BBC Friday 1 April 2016 – Redux: Island Wisdom w/ Ron Peltier

Join us this Friday for special guest Ron Peltier: “Creating a community vision that works for businesses as well as for the long term well-being of the Island.”

RonPeltier2Ron joined us last August for a lively discussion of Island life, politics, environmental sustainability and stewardship. He’s back to share more learned wisdom.

Fifty-year Islander and local business owner, Ron is Environmental Bainbridge founder and active with Islanders for Responsible Development. He will share his insights on local economic sustainability and environmentally creative business practice. Some topics for discussion:

  • collaborative vs conflicting community aspirations
  • coordinating the Island’s special identity with long-term stewardship of finite natural resources
  • Winslow – challenges and opportunities
  • Waterfront Park and “the New Dock” – impact and implications
  • affordable housing on Bainbridge – redevelopment & regulations for small rentals w/ minimal parking

Be here, be free, be businesswise. For, in a sense, me scurvy maties, as serial entrepreneurs, we’re all business wise!

So invite your friends and associates to come join us for this exciting non-virtual non-cloud event in real time and real space…and another delicious cup of BBC!
