This BBC Friday: “Human Trafficking And Exploitation In Kitsap County,” w/ Rosie Ludlow, exec. director, Scarlet Road. Learn about local trends and hot spots for exploitation, prevention, and how we can keep our community safer. Consider the barriers to working with this population, and how one can better impact their community.
With an MA in International Relations from Regent’s University London (2007), Rosie focused on international development and policy, worked for the US State Department, the British Red Cross, and the UN in the realm of refugee populations and policy change for migrant community (in the UK and Lebanon). After serving in refugee women and youth programs, Rosie traveled to Thailand for non-profit work in the red light districts in Bangkok and Patpong. During her time in Thailand, Rosie helped women exiting prostitution at two local Thai organizations, Rahab Ministries and OpenAid International. Upon her return to the US she founded Scarlet Road.
