BC@BBC — Join us this BBC FRIDAY for a Business Continuity / Incident Planning Workshop
BC (or as we learned last week, Business Continuity) can be defined as the uninterrupted availability of all key resources supporting essential business functions. Business continuity management (BCM) provides for the availability of processes and resources following a disruption of the business in order to ensure the continued achievement of mission critical objectives.” (Business Continuity Management: Global Best Practices, 4th Ed, Andrew Hiles, 2014)
Incident Planning starts with objectives, which are the goals, then the strategies which are the basics of “how” to meet the objectives, and then the tactics which are the “who, what, when, and where” specifics. O.S.T. — objectives, strategies, tactics. Kinda like BBC’s fair triumvirate “free, fun, friendly.” Or that fair triumvirate of Italian cuisine, “Chianti vineyards, wheat fields, olive groves.”
Colleen Kragen – EMERPREP Consultant – will be leading us through this exercise in business fitness and preparedness! On LinkedIn: linkedin.com/pub/colleen-kragen/a9/186/455. Email: [email protected]. BBC-handout: Business Recovery Plan.
Be here – @ OfficeXpats – be free, be businesswise. For, in a sense, me scurvy maties, as serial entrepreneurs, we’re all business wise!
So invite your friends and associates to come join us for this exciting non-virtual non-cloud event in real time and real space…and another delicious cup of BBC!

7:30-8:00 – coffee/tea, visiting, informal networking
8:00-8:45 – “Incident Planning Workshop”
