BBC Friday 24 May 2013 – “Think Club!”

This BBC Friday Bill Ruddick will lead our first “Think Club” Strategy Roundtable.

This BBC Friday Bill will lead us in another “Think Club” Strategy Roundtable — with a few new twists! So bring your head, brains, and creative intuitions with you. Thinking caps will be supplied.

We will look at some “defeaters” to critical thinking and thoughtful perceiving … such as how not to be “critical” while thinking critically. Afterwards there will be a chance to debrief — critically or otherwise — on how the process worked for everyone.

Think Club Resources useful to get back into the thinking mode: Thinking Hats (google docs pdf). Think Club Bibliography (google docs pdf). And for those who missed it, here’s Bill Ruddick’s original “Think Club” presentation from BBC Friday 15 February 2013 Think Club Presentation (google docs pdf). Logic & thinking from KaveDragen Ink (google docs pdf): informal fallacies & formal deductive reasoning.

Think About It.

So invite your friends and associates to join us for this thoughtful, if not just slightly critical, and yet very exciting BBC event — and another delicious cup of BBC!

PS. From last weeks presentation with David Franklin (DavidFranklin.org), David closed with the following great questions with which to start one’s day:
– What could happen today that would make it the perfect day?
– What am I most excited about doing today?
– What accomplishment today would completely energize me?
– What inspired me to start my business?
– What is my business’ greatest strength?
– If I could wave a magic wand (and time and money weren’t a problem), what would be my greatest wish for my business? What step could I take within the next week to support that wish?

And of course you will want to know whether you are reaching your objectives over time. This month, we will break it down into 4 weekly workshops to help you develop your own goals and build a process for reaching them. (officexpats.com/social-media-strategy/).
