Now more than ever, it’s within anyone’s reach to write, produce, and publish a book, and it turns out to be a great way to build your business and your credibility as an independent professional. You may already have the content for an inexpensive or free 100-page book, and it just needs some strategic morphing. With self-publishing (also called “alternative” or “independent” publishing), the author is responsible for the entire process, including design (cover/interior), formats, price, distribution, marketing and PR. Authors can do it all themselves or outsource all or part of the process. In this workshop series, Randy Kuckuck, founder of PublishNext, along with some of the company’s editorial and design experts return to help us explore how small businesses can navigate some of the choices and issues.
