This BBC Friday We Celebrate 6 Years Of Local Networking — And 3 Years, 1/2 Our Sorta-existence, Graciously Hosted By OfficeXpats!
The First BBC was held on Friday, 9 January 2009, at the Blue Ocean Cafe (Blue Ocean closed its doors a year later on March 1st 2010). We were called BISBER back then: “Bainbridge Island Small Business Entrepreneurial Roundtable” – happily later shortened to BBC. After the Blue Ocean, we met downstairs at the Pavilion, then at Local Harvest (which closed its doors in 2012), then a couple times at the wonderful coffee destination Roosters Cafe (note, Thuy Nguyen finally has a great website for Roosters), then at the excellent florist shop Flowering Around, finally to settle at our present most gracious location of OfficeXpats Coworking & Conference Center so very kindly hosted by Leslie & Jason. Thank You Leslie & Jason! Jason and Leslie invited us to meet at OfficeXpats in 2012, and they have been wonderful and accommodating hosts ever since. They have always supported our original Identity/Brand of “Free, Fun, Friendly” community business networking and support, Jason even hosting our BBC website!
